Agatti Island serves as the primary gateway to the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, housing the region's only airport. The island stretches over 7.6 kilometers, characterized by a narrow strip of land flanked by a massive, shallow lagoon on the western side and the deep Arabian Sea on the east. Visitors arriving here are greeted by long stretches of white sand beaches and clear waters that reveal extensive coral reef systems. The eastern side of the island features the main residential areas, while the western shores are largely dedicated to tourist activities and water sports. You can walk along the coastal roads, explore the shallow lagoons where sea turtles often swim, or engage in active water pursuits like scuba diving and kayaking. The local administration maintains a slow-paced, restricted tourism model, meaning the beaches remain uncrowded and the marine ecosystem stays largely intact.

Agatti Aerodrome (AGX) is located on the island itself. Connected by daily direct flights from Cochin International Airport (Kochi), operated primarily by Alliance Air. Flight takes approx 1 hour 20 minutes.
Train
Not applicable directly. Nearest major railway station is Ernakulam Junction in Kochi (over 400 km away by sea). Take a flight or passenger ship from Kochi to Agatti.
Road
Not applicable as it is an island. Visitors must reach Kochi by road/train and take a flight or ship onwards.
