Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Agonda Beach is from November to March. During these months, the weather is dry and pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from 24°C to 32°C. This period also coincides with the tourist season, when all beach shacks and accommodations are operational. The Olive Ridley turtle nesting season falls within this time. How to Reach

Air

Train

Madgaon Junction (MAO) in Margao is the nearest major railway station, approximately 40 km away (a 1-hour drive). Canacona Station (CNO) is closer (9 km) but is served by fewer trains.

Road

Agonda is accessible via NH66. You can hire a taxi from the airport or railway station. State-run Kadamba buses operate from major cities like Panjim and Margao to the Canacona bus stand, from where local transport is available.

Local Transport

Renting a scooter or motorcycle is the most common way to get around Agonda and nearby areas (approx. ₹300-500 per day). Auto-rickshaws and taxis are also available; it is best to fix the fare before starting your journey.
