An ancient and architecturally unique stepwell in central Delhi with 108 stone steps descending through arched corridors. A quiet historical spot.
Agrasen ki Baoli is an ancient stepwell located in the heart of Delhi, presenting a surprising piece of history amid the city's modern buildings. Protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), this structure features a long flight of 108 steps that descend towards what was once a reservoir. As you walk down, you pass through three distinct levels, each lined with arched niches and passageways on both sides. The architecture is impressive, with the stone walls creating a unique play of light and shadow that changes throughout the day.
