This is not a conventional waterfall; it's the outlet of a 4-kilometer-long tunnel that channels water from the Erattayar Dam into the Idukki reservoir, as part of the Idukki Hydroelectric Project. The main attraction is watching the sheer volume and force of water as it exits the tunnel and cascades down the rocky terrain into the reservoir's backwaters. The area is surrounded by dense greenery, offering a raw, natural setting.
