A laid-back North Goa beach with a bohemian vibe, known for its freshwater lake, sunset drum circles, and paragliding opportunities.
Discover what makes this destination truly special

Arambol Beach, in the northernmost part of Goa, has a distinct bohemian character that sets it apart from the state's more commercial tourist spots. The main beach is a long, curving stretch of sand lined with shacks that have a relaxed, rustic feel. As you walk north along the shore, the landscape changes. You'll cross a rocky outcrop to find a smaller, more secluded cove known as Kalacha Beach. This area is famous for its freshwater lake, often called the 'Sweet Water Lake,' located just a few meters from the sea. A stream feeds this lagoon, which is surrounded by green hills, creating a unique spot for a swim.
