Best Time to Visit

The ideal time to visit is from November to February. During these months, the weather is cool and pleasant, making it comfortable to walk around. The post-monsoon period in October also offers green surroundings. It's best to avoid the hot summer months of April and May, as well as the heavy monsoon season from June to September, which can make visiting an open ground difficult.
Peak Crowd: November-January, particularly during evenings and weekends when both tourists and locals visit.
Moderate Crowd: February-March and October, especially on weekdays.
Low Crowd: April-September, due to the extreme heat and monsoon season.

How to Reach

Air

Goa has two international airports. Dabolim Airport (GOI) is approximately 28 km away (about 1 hour by taxi), and Manohar International Airport, Mopa (GOX) is about 35 km away (about 1 hour 15 minutes by taxi).

Train

The nearest railway station to Panaji is Karmali (KRMI), about 12 km away. Other major stations are Madgaon (MAO) and Vasco da Gama (VSG), which are further but have better connectivity.

Road

Panaji is well-connected by road via National Highway 66 (NH66). Regular state-run and private buses operate from nearby cities like Mumbai, Pune, and Bangalore to Panaji.

Local Transport
