Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit is from October to February when the weather is dry and pleasant, with comfortable temperatures for sightseeing. This period offers clear skies, ideal for photography. Avoid the monsoon season from June to September, as heavy rains make the rocks slippery and the sea extremely rough and dangerous. The summer months from March to May can be very hot and humid, making the visit less comfortable.

Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station (TVC) is the closest major railhead, about 20 km away. You can hire a taxi or an auto-rickshaw from the station.

Road

The beach is well-connected by road from Trivandrum and Kovalam. It is located just off the road leading to Poovar. Taxis and auto-rickshaws are readily available.

Local Transport

Auto-rickshaws from Kovalam town cost around ₹150-₹200. Taxis are also available. You can rent scooters in Kovalam for more flexibility. Ride-hailing services operate in the area.
