Baindur, often spelled Byndoor, is a coastal town in Karnataka situated about 30 kilometers south of Murudeshwar. It offers a quieter, less commercial atmosphere compared to its more famous neighbor. The main attraction here is the Someshwara Beach, a clean stretch of sand where the Someshwara Temple stands right at the edge of the water, creating a unique spiritual and natural setting. The waves often wash up to the steps of this ancient Shiva temple, especially during high tide.

Entry to the town, beach, and Someshwara temple is free. A nominal fee of ₹10 - ₹20 per person may be charged for entry to the Kshitija Nesara Dhama park at Ottinene viewpoint. Parking may also be charged separately.
