Baindur, often spelled Byndoor, is a coastal town in Karnataka situated about 30 kilometers south of Murudeshwar. It offers a quieter, less commercial atmosphere compared to its more famous neighbor. The main attraction here is the Someshwara Beach, a clean stretch of sand where the Someshwara Temple stands right at the edge of the water, creating a unique spiritual and natural setting. The waves often wash up to the steps of this ancient Shiva temple, especially during high tide.

The best time to visit Baindur is from October to February. During these months, the weather is pleasant with lower humidity and clear skies, which is ideal for beach activities and sightseeing.
