The best time for beach yoga in Gokarna is from October to March. During these months, the weather is dry and pleasant, with comfortable temperatures ideal for outdoor activities. This period also coincides with the main tourist season, so more classes and workshops are available. Avoid the monsoon season from June to September, as heavy rains make beach yoga impractical. The summer months of April and May can be extremely hot and humid, making practice uncomfortable, especially during the day.

How to Reach

Air

The nearest airport is Dabolim Airport (GOI) in Goa, which is about 145 km away. From the airport, you can hire a taxi to Gokarna, which takes around 3-4 hours.

Train

Gokarna Road (GOK) railway station is about 10 km from the town, but it has limited connectivity. Ankola (ANKL), 20 km away, is a better-connected station on the Konkan Railway line. Taxis and auto-rickshaws are available from these stations.

Road

Gokarna is well-connected by road via NH-66. Regular overnight buses run from major cities like Bengaluru, Mangaluru, and Panaji (Goa). The drive from Bengaluru is approximately 485 km and takes about 9-10 hours.

Local Transport

Within Gokarna, auto-rickshaws are the main form of transport to get between the town and various beaches. You can also rent scooters for about ₹300-₹500 per day to explore the area independently.
