Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit is from November to February. During these months, the weather is dry and pleasant with comfortable temperatures, making it ideal for swimming and sunbathing. This is also the peak season for beach shacks, which are fully operational. March to May gets progressively hotter and more humid. The monsoon season, from June to September, sees heavy rainfall, and most beach shacks are closed.
Peak Crowd: December to January, especially during Christmas and New Year's weeks, and on weekends.
Moderate Crowd: November, February, and March on weekdays.
Low Crowd: April to October, particularly during the monsoon months from June to September.

How to Reach

Air

Goa International Airport (Dabolim Airport - GOI) is the nearest airport, located about 20 km away. A pre-paid taxi from the airport takes around 30-40 minutes.

Train

Madgaon (Margao) Railway Station is the closest major railhead, approximately 8 km away. It is well-connected to major Indian cities. Taxis and auto-rickshaws are readily available at the station.

Road

Betalbatim is well-connected by road. It is located just off the main coastal road in South Goa. You can hire a car or scooter from major towns like Margao, Panjim, or Vasco da Gama.

Local Transport

Renting a scooter (around ₹300-500 per day) is the most popular way to explore the area. Auto-rickshaws and local taxis are available, but it's best to agree on the fare beforehand. App-based taxi services are also an option.
