Brahmashram is a small, natural rock cave situated on the slopes of Nandi Hills. This modest cave holds significant spiritual importance as it is believed to be the place where the revered sage, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, stayed and meditated for about 40 days. The path leading to the cave is a short, slightly rugged walk from the main road, surrounded by natural vegetation. Inside, the space is simple and unadorned, maintaining its raw, natural state which encourages quiet contemplation. Visitors experience a deep sense of peace away from the more crowded viewpoints of Nandi Hills. The cave is not large, accommodating only a few people at a time, making it an intimate spot for meditation or reflection. The atmosphere is calm, and the area around the cave offers some quiet spots to sit and enjoy the natural surroundings of the hill station.

The best time to visit is from September to February when the weather is cool and pleasant, ideal for exploring the hills. The post-monsoon months (September-November) offer lush green landscapes. Winters (December-February) are cool and misty, creating a beautiful atmosphere. Avoid peak summer months (March-May) as the afternoons can be hot. Monsoons (June-August) bring rain, which can make the paths slippery but also adds to the scenic beauty.

Nandi Hills is well-connected by road and is about 60 km from Bengaluru. It is a popular drive for cars and motorcycles. State buses also operate from Bengaluru to Nandi Hills.
