This period also offers the highest probability of clear skies and good visibility for dolphin spotting. The monsoon season, from June to September, should be avoided as the sea is rough, making boat access impossible and the forest trek extremely dangerous and slippery.

Butterfly Beach is a small, semi-circular cove located in South Goa, just north of Palolem Beach. It is not accessible by road, which contributes to its quiet and undeveloped character. The primary way to reach the beach is by a short boat ride from the nearby Palolem or Agonda beaches. Some visitors also attempt a challenging two-hour trek through forested terrain, though this route is not well-marked. The beach itself is a stretch of golden sand flanked by large rocks and dense vegetation. The water here is generally clear and calm, making it suitable for a quick dip.

A private boat for a round trip, which often includes dolphin watching and a stop at Honeymoon Beach, can cost between ₹1000 to ₹2000, depending on the season and your negotiation skills.
