Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit is from March to June for pleasant weather ideal for rafting and outdoor activities. Another great window is from October to December, when the skies are clear after the monsoon, offering excellent mountain views. Avoid the monsoon months of July and August due to heavy rainfall, landslides, and the closure of most adventure sports. January and February are for those who want to experience extreme cold and potential snowfall, but many camp facilities might be limited.

Moderate Crowd: March, September, and weekdays during the peak season.

How to Reach

Air

The nearest airport is Kullu-Manali Airport (KUU) at Bhuntar, approximately 35 km away. From the airport, you can hire a taxi which takes about 1-1.5 hours to reach the camp.

Train

Manali does not have a railway station. The nearest major railway station is Chandigarh (CHD), about 300 km away. From Chandigarh, you can take an overnight bus or a taxi to Manali, a journey of 8-9 hours.

Road

Manali is well-connected by road from Delhi (approx. 550 km) and Chandigarh (approx. 300 km). Both government-run and private overnight buses are widely available. The camp is located on the Naggar road, off the main NH3.

Local Transport

Within the Manali region, local taxis and auto-rickshaws are the primary modes of transport. You can hire a taxi for sightseeing or point-to-point travel. Rental bikes and scooters are also popular choices for local exploration.
