Overview

The City Palace stands in the center of Jaipur's old walled city, a striking complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings. Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit is from October to March when the weather is cool and pleasant, with temperatures ideal for exploring the open courtyards. This period is also the peak tourist season. The summer months, from April to June, are extremely hot and best avoided. The monsoon season, from July to September, sees rain but can be a good time for visitors who don't mind the humidity and want to avoid the largest crowds.
Peak Crowd: October to February, especially during long weekends, Diwali, and the Christmas-New Year period when tourist arrivals are at their highest.
Moderate Crowd: March, September, and weekdays throughout the tourist season.
Low Crowd: April to June due to the intense summer heat, and July to August during the peak of the monsoon season.

Air

Jaipur International Airport (JAI) is the nearest airport, located about 12 km from the City Palace. A taxi or cab ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes.

Train

Jaipur Junction Railway Station is about 5 km away. It is well-connected to all major Indian cities. You can hire an auto-rickshaw or a taxi from the station to reach the palace.

Road

Jaipur is connected to major cities like Delhi (280 km) and Agra (240 km) via a network of national highways, including NH48 and NH21. Both government and private buses run regular services to Jaipur.

Local Transport

The palace is easily reachable by auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws, and ride-hailing cabs like Ola and Uber. The Badi Chaupar Metro Station (Pink Line) is the closest public transport hub, just a short walk away.
