Best Time to Visit

The restaurant is open year-round, but the best experience is from December to March, during the winter season. Dining here with snow outside offers a unique, cozy mountain experience. The summer months from April to June are also pleasant, ideal for a meal after a day of sightseeing in comfortable weather. It tends to be busiest during peak tourist seasons, so plan accordingly.

How to Reach

Air

The nearest airport is Srinagar International Airport (SXR), located approximately 58 km away. A taxi from the airport to Gulmarg takes about 2-3 hours.

Train

Jammu Tawi Railway Station (290 km) is the nearest major railhead. From Jammu, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Srinagar, followed by another taxi to Gulmarg. The entire journey can take over 8-10 hours.

Road

Gulmarg is connected to Srinagar by a well-maintained road. You can hire a pre-paid or private taxi from Srinagar for the 2-3 hour journey. During heavy snowfall in winter, only 4x4 vehicles fitted with snow chains can access Gulmarg.

Local Transport

Within Gulmarg, the primary mode of transport is local taxis. For short distances, many people prefer to walk. The restaurant is located inside Hotel Highlands Park, easily reachable by a short taxi ride from most parts of the town.
