The lake spans roughly 1.2 kilometers in diameter and sits 150 meters below the rim. Best Time to Visit

November to February is the safest and most comfortable time to explore the crater. Winter temperatures range from 12°C to 25°C, making the steep hike down the rim manageable. Avoid the summer months (March to June) when temperatures often exceed 40°C, drastically increasing the risk of heatstroke during the climb. The monsoon season (July to October) turns the forest bright green and activates the streams, but the muddy trekking paths become highly slippery and difficult to navigate safely.
