Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit is from October to February when the weather in Mumbai is pleasant and cool, making it comfortable to walk around the park outdoors. The summer months from March to May can be very hot and humid. The monsoon season, from June to September, can be enjoyable for some, but heavy rains may lead to the temporary closure of certain outdoor rides for safety reasons.
Peak Crowd: Weekends, public holidays, and during school vacations like summer (April-May) and Diwali (October-November).
Moderate Crowd: Weekdays during the winter season from November to February.
Low Crowd: Weekdays during the monsoon season (June-September) and during school examination periods.

How to Reach

Air

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai is the nearest airport, located about 35-40 km away. From the airport, you can hire a taxi to reach the ferry points at Gorai Creek or Marve Beach, which takes 1-2 hours depending on traffic.

Train

For long-distance trains, Mumbai Central (MMCT) and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) are major railway stations. For local travel, the nearest suburban railway stations are Borivali and Malad on the Western line. From there, you can take a bus or auto-rickshaw to the ferry points.

Road

You can drive to Gorai via Bhayandar on the Western Express Highway. There is a pay-and-park facility available near the park. However, the most popular and recommended way to reach the park is by taking a ferry from Marve Beach (Malad) or Gorai Creek (Borivali).

Local Transport

Take a Mumbai local train to Borivali station. Exit on the west side and take an auto-rickshaw (approx. ₹80-100) or BEST bus no. 294 to Gorai Creek. From the creek, a 15-minute ferry ride will take you directly to the park's entrance.
