Best Time to Visit

The ideal time to visit is from October to March. During these months, the weather is pleasant with clear skies and comfortable temperatures, perfect for beach activities and trekking. The post-monsoon period leaves the surroundings green and fresh. The summer months of April and May are very hot and humid. The monsoon season, from June to September, brings heavy rainfall, making the sea rough and beach activities difficult.

Train

Gokarna Road (GOK) railway station is about 10 km from the town, but has limited train services. Ankola (ANKL), 20 km away, and Kumta (KT), 35 km away, are better-connected stations.

Road

Gokarna is well-connected by road via NH-66. Regular bus services are available from major cities like Bangalore (485 km), Mangalore (235 km), and Goa (145 km).
