Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Gorai Beach is from October to February. During these months, the weather is cool and dry with comfortable temperatures, making it ideal for spending time outdoors. The humidity is low, and the clear skies offer excellent sunset views. Summer months from March to May can be extremely hot and humid. The monsoon season, from June to September, brings heavy rainfall and rough seas, making the beach experience less enjoyable and unsafe for water activities.
Peak Crowd: Weekends (Saturday and Sunday evenings), public holidays, and the months of December-January.
Moderate Crowd: Weekday evenings from October to March.
Low Crowd: Weekday mornings and afternoons, and during the peak summer (April-May) and monsoon (July-August) seasons.

How to Reach

Air

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai is the nearest airport, approximately 30 km away. From the airport, you can hire a taxi to Borivali's Gorai Jetty, which takes about 1-1.5 hours.

Train

Borivali is the nearest major railway station, well-connected by Mumbai's local train network on the Western Line. From Borivali station (West), it's a 15-20 minute auto-rickshaw ride to the Gorai Jetty.

Road

If driving, you can reach Borivali via the Western Express Highway. Paid parking is available near the Gorai Jetty. From the Marve side in Malad, a car-carrying ferry (barge) is also available, though less frequent.

Local Transport

The final leg of the journey is by ferry. Auto-rickshaws and BEST buses connect Borivali station to the jetty. Once you cross over to Gorai, auto-rickshaws are the primary mode of transport to get to the beach and other nearby attractions.
