Goshen Hotel And Resort - A Serene Stay in Idukki

Established in 2010, Goshen Hotel And Resort was developed by a local family with deep roots in the region's plantation economy. The land was previously part of a larger estate cultivating cardamom and pepper for generations. The vision was to create a sustainable tourism venture that showcased Idukki's natural beauty without disturbing the ecosystem. Construction focused on using local artisans and materials, and many of the original spice plants and trees were preserved during development. It has since become a known stay for those looking for a quiet, nature-oriented holiday in the Western Ghats.

The resort is significant for its role in promoting eco-conscious tourism within the ecologically sensitive Idukki district. It offers an authentic glimpse into the life of a spice plantation, which is central to the area's culture and economy. By employing local staff and sourcing produce from the community, it supports the regional economy. For visitors, it serves as a comfortable base to experience the biodiversity of the Western Ghats, away from the more crowded tourist centers, while providing direct access to nature trails and agricultural landscapes.
