Best Season:The best time to visit Hampi is from October to February. During these winter months, the weather is pleasant and dry, with daytime temperatures ranging from 20-30°C, perfect for exploring the expansive ruins. The summer, from March to June, is extremely hot and best avoided. Most monuments are open from sunrise to sunset. The main ticketed enclosures like the Vittala Temple and Zenana Enclosure are open from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM daily. The Virupaksha Temple has its own schedule, typically 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, closing in the afternoon.

A single composite ticket provides entry to the Vittala Temple Complex, Zenana Enclosure (including Lotus Mahal & Elephant Stables), and the Archaeological Museum. The ticket costs ₹40 for Indians/SAARC/BIMSTEC citizens and ₹600 for other foreigners. It is valid for one day. The Virupaksha Temple has a separate entrance fee of around ₹50, with extra charges for cameras. Many other ruins across the site are free to access.
