Gulmarg Golf Course - High-Altitude Golfing in Kashmir

The Gulmarg Golf Course was first established by British residents in 1911, initially as a 6-hole course. It served as a popular leisure spot for colonial officials during the summer months. For many decades, it remained a relatively basic course. In 2011, to mark its centenary, the course was redesigned and upgraded to modern standards by the renowned golf course architect, Peter Thomson. This redevelopment expanded it to a full 18-hole, 72-par championship course, making it the destination it is today, attracting both professional golfers and tourists.
