The best time to stay is from October to March when the weather in Hampi is pleasant and cool, with daytime temperatures ranging from 15°C to 30°C. This period is ideal for sightseeing. The summer months from April to June are extremely hot, often exceeding 40°C, making exploration difficult. The monsoon season from July to September sees moderate rainfall, which brings out the greenery but can sometimes disrupt travel plans. The winter months, especially December and January, are the peak tourist season.
Peak Crowd: November to January, long weekends, and during the Hampi Utsav festival. Pleasant weather attracts the highest number of tourists.
Moderate Crowd: February, March, and October. The weather is still good, but crowds are thinner than in the peak winter season.
Low Crowd: April to September. Extreme summer heat and the monsoon season deter most visitors.

How to Reach

Air

The nearest airport is Vidyanagar Airport (VDY) in Toranagallu, about 40 km away (1-hour drive). Hubli Airport (HBX) is another option, located 165 km away (3-4 hours drive).

Train

Hospet Junction (HPT) is the nearest major railway station, located about 4-5 km from the hotel. It is well-connected to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Goa. Auto-rickshaws and taxis are readily available at the station.

Road

Hampi is well-connected by road. It is approximately 350 km from Bengaluru (6-7 hours drive) and 380 km from Hyderabad (7-8 hours drive). KSRTC and private buses run regular services to Hospet from major cities in Karnataka.

Auto-rickshaws are the primary mode of local transport for getting around Hospet and Hampi. One can also rent mopeds or bicycles near the Hampi Bazaar area to explore the ruins at their own pace. The hotel can arrange for a private car for day trips.
