A grand 17th-century Hindu temple in Udaipur's Old City, distinguished by its intricate carvings, steep stairway, and towering spire.
Located in the heart of Udaipur's Old City, Jagdish Temple is a large and architecturally significant Hindu temple. To reach the entrance, visitors ascend a steep flight of 32 marble steps, which leads to the main structure. The temple, built in the Indo-Aryan style, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his form as Jagannath. The main shrine houses a striking four-armed idol of Vishnu, carved from a single piece of black stone. The temple is a three-storied structure with a towering spire, or shikhara, that dominates the local skyline and is visible from many parts of the city.
