Jhari Waterfalls, often called Buttermilk Falls, is a multi-tiered cascade located on a private coffee estate near Chikmagalur. The water flows down a steep, rocky cliff, creating a wide and thin curtain-like effect, which gives it its nickname. To reach the falls, visitors must take a mandatory, bumpy 4x4 jeep ride for the last few kilometers, as the path is not suitable for regular vehicles. This jeep journey through the dense greenery of the coffee plantations is an adventure in itself.
