Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Kudle Beach is from October to March. During these months, the weather is pleasant with minimal rainfall and comfortable temperatures, ideal for beach activities. This is also the period when all the beach shacks, cafes, and guesthouses are operational. Avoid the monsoon season from June to September, as heavy rains make the sea rough and unsafe for swimming, and most establishments shut down. April and May can be very hot and humid.
Peak Crowd: November to January, especially during Christmas, New Year's, and long weekends, due to ideal weather and holiday season.
Moderate Crowd: October, February, and March when the weather is still good but the main holiday rush has subsided.
Low Crowd: April to September, covering the hot summer and heavy monsoon seasons, when tourist activity is minimal.

Air

The nearest major airport is Dabolim Airport (GOI) in Goa, about 145 km away (3-4 hour drive). The next closest is Hubli Airport (HBX), around 150 km away.

Train

Gokarna Road (GOK) is the nearest railway station, 10 km from the town. However, it has limited connectivity. Ankola (ANKL), 20 km away, and Kumta (KT), 35 km away, are better connected to major cities.

Road

Gokarna is well-connected by road via NH 66. Regular overnight buses run from Bengaluru (approx. 485 km), Mangalore (approx. 235 km), and Goa (approx. 145 km).

Local Transport

Auto-rickshaws are the primary mode of transport within Gokarna and to the beaches. Rates are negotiable, so agree on a fare beforehand. Scooter and motorcycle rentals are also widely available for about ₹300-500 per day.
