Lake Tahoe is a large freshwater alpine lake located in the Sierra Nevada mountains, sitting directly on the state line between California and Nevada. The lake spans roughly 35 kilometers in length and 19 kilometers in width, characterized by its remarkably clear blue water and surrounding mountain peaks.
