Lumbini Park - Hyderabad's Lakeside Entertainment Hub

Lumbini Park was developed in 1994 by the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) as part of a larger project to beautify the Hussain Sagar lake area. It was named after the birthplace of Lord Buddha in Nepal, aligning with the giant Buddha statue installed in the lake. The park was created to provide a recreational space for the public. It faced a tragic event in August 2007 when it was one of the sites of terrorist bombings. After the incident, security was significantly increased, and the park was reopened to the public, continuing its role as a key leisure destination in the city.
