Mani Bhavan - Mahatma Gandhi's Mumbai Residence and Museum

Mani Bhavan was owned by Revashankar Jagjeevan Jhaveri, a friend and host to Gandhi during his visits to Mumbai. From 1917 to 1934, this house was the epicenter of Gandhi's political activities. From here, he initiated major national movements, including the Non-Cooperation, Satyagraha, Swadeshi, Khadi, and Khilafat Movements. It was on the terrace of Mani Bhavan that Gandhi was arrested in January 1932. After India gained independence, the building was dedicated to the nation in 1955 to be maintained as a memorial to Gandhi, preserving his legacy for future generations.
