A revered Sufi shrine in Srinagar's Khanyar area, known for its unique Kashmiri architecture and housing a sacred relic of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani.
Discover what makes this destination truly special

Dastgeer Sahib is a revered shrine in the Khanyar area of Srinagar, significant to followers of Sufism. The structure is dedicated to the 11th-century Sufi saint, Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani, also known as Ghaus-ul-Azam. Although the saint is buried in Baghdad, a holy relic believed to be from him is preserved here. The current building is a modern reconstruction, as the original 200-year-old wooden structure was destroyed in a fire in 2012. The shrine's architecture is a distinct example of Kashmiri style, featuring a multi-tiered pagoda-like roof topped with a spire, which makes it a prominent landmark.
