Mughal Gardens - Historic Terraced Gardens of Srinagar

The Mughal Gardens in Srinagar are a collection of several distinct gardens built in the Persian style of architecture by the Mughal emperors. The most famous among them are Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi, each located along the eastern bank of Dal Lake. These gardens are characterized by their terraced layout, a central water channel known as a 'shah nahar', and numerous fountains and cascades.
