Mumbai Zoo (Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan) - A Complete Guide

Established in 1861, it was originally named Victoria Gardens. The gardens were first located in Sewri but were moved to their current location in Byculla in 1873. The initial purpose was purely as a botanical garden, with the zoo being added later.
