National Museum of Indian Cinema - A Journey Through Bollywood History

Established by the Government of India, the National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC) was developed to preserve and showcase the rich heritage of Indian cinema. It is located in the Films Division of India complex in Mumbai. The museum was inaugurated in two phases. The first section, housed in the historic Gulshan Mahal, was completed earlier. The expansive New Museum Building was inaugurated in January 2019 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
