The National Railway Museum in Delhi is a captivating open-air and indoor museum that documents the spectacular 160-year history of Indian Railways. Spread over 11 acres, the museum's primary attraction is its vast outdoor yard, where visitors can walk among an impressive collection of real-size locomotives and royal saloons. You can see everything from the majestic Fairy Queen, the world's oldest working steam locomotive, to massive diesel and electric engines. Many of the exhibits are accessible, allowing you to climb into the driver's cabin or peek into the opulent carriages used by maharajas and viceroys.
