One of India's largest zoos, this expansive park offers safari rides, a toy train, and semi-natural enclosures for a diverse range of wildlife.
Nehru Zoological Park, commonly known as the Hyderabad Zoo, is a large wildlife park spread over approximately 380 acres. Located near the Mir Alam Tank, the zoo is designed to house animals in enclosures that closely resemble their natural habitats, separated from visitors by wide moats. This layout gives you a more immersive experience compared to traditional caged zoos. The park is home to a wide variety of animals, birds, and reptiles, including the Indian rhino, Asiatic lion, Bengal tiger, panther, and several species of deer and monkeys.
