Best Season:The best time to visit is from October to February when the weather in Hyderabad is cool and pleasant, making it comfortable to walk around the large park. The animals are also more active during these months. The summer months, from March to June, can be extremely hot. The monsoon season, from July to September, offers a lush green environment, but sudden rains can disrupt your visit. Winter mornings are particularly good for seeing animals out in the open.

Nehru Zoological Park, commonly known as the Hyderabad Zoo, is a large wildlife park spread over approximately 380 acres. Located near the Mir Alam Tank, the zoo is designed to house animals in enclosures that closely resemble their natural habitats, separated from visitors by wide moats. This layout gives you a more immersive experience compared to traditional caged zoos. The park is home to a wide variety of animals, birds, and reptiles, including the Indian rhino, Asiatic lion, Bengal tiger, panther, and several species of deer and monkeys.
