Netrani Island, located about 19 kilometers off the coast of Murudeshwar, is a small, heart-shaped island in the Arabian Sea. It is one of Karnataka's prime destinations for scuba diving and snorkeling. The island itself is uninhabited, rocky, and covered with vegetation; visitors do not land on it but explore the rich marine ecosystem in the surrounding waters. The main draw is the clear visibility, which can extend up to 20 meters on good days, revealing a spectacular underwater world.

These are the general operating hours for dive centers in Murudeshwar. Boat trips to the island usually depart between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM and return by 2:00 PM or 3:00 PM. All trips are subject to weather and sea conditions and must be booked in advance.
There is no direct entry fee for the island. Access is through activity packages. Snorkeling trips cost approximately ₹1500-₹2000 per person. Scuba diving for beginners (Discover Scuba Dive) ranges from ₹3500-₹5000 per person. Prices typically include boat transport, equipment rental, instructor fees, and light refreshments.
