The main experience here revolves around the calm waterways that connect to the expansive Valiyaparamba backwaters. Unlike the busier backwaters of southern Kerala, Nileshwar provides a more laid-back and personal feel. Visitors can hire traditional houseboats, known as Kettuvallams, for overnight stays or day cruises.
