Srinagar International Airport (SXR) is the nearest airport, located about 56 km from Gulmarg. From the airport, you can hire a pre-paid taxi for a 2-3 hour drive to Gulmarg.
Train
The closest major railway station is Jammu Tawi (JAT), around 290 km away. From Jammu, you can take a bus or taxi to Srinagar, and then another taxi from Srinagar to Gulmarg.
Road
Gulmarg has good road connectivity with Srinagar. The scenic drive takes about 2-3 hours. JKSRTC buses, shared jeeps, and private taxis regularly ply the route from Srinagar to Gulmarg.
Local Transport
Once in Gulmarg, the starting point of the Outer Circle Walk is easily reached on foot from most hotels. You can also hire ponies or rent bicycles from the main market area to traverse the path.
