Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Palolem Beach is from November to February. During these months, the weather is dry and pleasant with comfortable temperatures. This is also when all the beach shacks, restaurants, and temporary huts are fully operational. The sea is calm, making it ideal for swimming and water sports. March and April get hotter, while the monsoon season from June to September sees heavy rainfall, rough seas, and the closure of most beachside establishments.

Air

Goa International Airport (Dabolim - GOI) is the nearest airport, located approximately 60 km away. It takes about 90 minutes to 2 hours to reach Palolem by taxi.

Train

The nearest railway station is Canacona (CNO), just 2 km away, but it serves only a few trains. The major rail hub is Madgaon Junction (MAO) in Margao, around 35 km away, which is well-connected to all major Indian cities.

Road

Palolem is well-connected by road via NH-66. Regular state-run and private buses operate from major cities like Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru to Margao, from where you can take a local bus or taxi to Palolem.
