Peechi Dam is a large irrigation dam built across the Manali River, located about 22 kilometers from Thrissur city. Primarily an irrigation project, it has become a popular getaway for locals and tourists. The main attraction is the vast reservoir, surrounded by lush green hills that are part of the Peechi-Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary. Visitors can walk along the top of the dam, which provides an expansive view of the collected water on one side and the river canal system on the other.
