Best Time to Visit

The best months to visit are from September to March. Post-monsoon (September to November), the hills are at their greenest. The winter months (December to February) offer cool, pleasant weather perfect for sightseeing. Summer (March to May) is also a good time, though it can get warm during the day. It's best to avoid the heavy monsoon season from June to August, as rain can obstruct views and make the area slippery.

The nearest major railway station is Aluva (AWY), about 110 km away, or Ernakulam Junction (ERS), about 130 km away. Taxis and buses are available from both stations to Munnar.
