Pookode Lake is a natural freshwater lake located in the Wayanad district of Kerala. Situated at a high altitude, the lake is surrounded by dense evergreen forests and rolling hills, creating a refreshing atmosphere for visitors. A well-maintained walking path encircles the entire lake, allowing for a pleasant stroll of about 1.5 kilometers through the woods.

The best time to visit Pookode Lake is from September to May. During these months, the weather is cool and pleasant, making it ideal for boating and walking.
