Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit is from October to February when the weather is cool and pleasant, making it ideal for walking. The monsoon months, from June to September, offer a different experience with the lake full and the surroundings lush and green, though heavy rains can be a factor. The summer months, from March to May, are typically hot and humid, making daytime visits less comfortable.
Peak Crowd: November-February, especially on weekend evenings (5 PM - 8 PM) and public holidays.
Moderate Crowd: Weekday evenings throughout the year and weekend mornings.
Low Crowd: Weekday afternoons, especially during the summer months (March-May).

How to Reach

Air

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) is the nearest airport, located about 6 km away. It takes approximately 20-40 minutes to reach by taxi or cab, depending on traffic.

Train

The nearest local train stations are Kanjurmarg and Vikhroli on the Central Line (approx. 5 km away). Andheri station on the Western Line is about 10 km away. Auto-rickshaws and taxis are readily available from all stations.

Road

Powai Lake is located on Adi Shankaracharya Marg, which is well-connected to the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR). This provides easy access from both the Western Express Highway and the Eastern Express Highway.

Local Transport

Auto-rickshaws and app-based cabs like Ola and Uber are the most convenient ways to get around. Many BEST buses also have routes that pass by the lake, connecting it to various parts of Mumbai.
