Sajjangarh Biological Park - Udaipur's Modern Zoo

Located at the foothills of the famous Sajjangarh (Monsoon) Palace, this biological park is a modern zoological garden spread over a large area. The park was developed to house animals from the older, smaller Gulab Bagh zoo in a more spacious and natural environment. The layout is designed with wide, paved pathways that take you through different sections dedicated to carnivores, herbivores, and birds. You can see a variety of Indian wildlife here, including tigers, lions, leopards, sloth bears, sambar deer, and various reptiles in well-maintained enclosures that mimic their natural habitats. For visitors, the experience involves a fair amount of walking, but the park also provides electric golf carts for a fee, which is a convenient way to cover the entire area, especially for families with children or elderly members. The park is clean and organized, with clear signages and seating areas along the way. Besides the animal enclosures, there's also an aviary section with several bird species.
