Best Season:The ideal time to visit is from October to March, when the weather is pleasant and cool, perfect for exploring the outdoors. The monsoon months, from July to September, are also a great time to see the sanctuary at its greenest, with lush vegetation all around, though paths can be slippery. Summer, from April to June, is very hot, with temperatures often exceeding 40°C, making daytime visits uncomfortable.

Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary encircles the famous Sajjangarh Palace, also known as the Monsoon Palace, situated on the Bansdara peak of the Aravalli hills. The sanctuary is a protected forest area, established to conserve the local biodiversity. As you travel up the winding 5-kilometer road to the palace, you move through a thick deciduous forest. While large animal sightings like panthers are very rare, the sanctuary is home to a variety of other wildlife, including sambar deer, wild boars, blue bulls (nilgai), and jackals. Birdwatchers can spot species like peacocks, partridges, and green pigeons.

Open all days. The ticket counter at the main gate closes around 5:00 PM. The shared jeep service from the gate to the palace also operates within these hours. It's best to confirm timings locally as they can sometimes vary.

Sanctuary entry fee for Indian Adults is approx. ₹85, Students ₹30. Foreign Adults approx. ₹300. Vehicle entry charges are extra: Car/Jeep ₹200, Auto-rickshaw ₹65, Two-wheeler ₹30. Please note that the entry fee for the Sajjangarh Palace at the top is separate and paid there. Prices are subject to change.
