Best Time to Visit

• The only window to visit Satsaran Pass is from July to mid-September. During this period, the winter snow has melted, revealing the green meadows and making the trail accessible. The weather is relatively stable for trekking, although afternoon showers are common. Before July and after September, the pass is covered in deep snow, making it extremely dangerous and impassable. The trek is completely closed during winter.
• Peak Crowd: July and August, as this is the prime season for the Kashmir Great Lakes trek.
• Moderate Crowd: Early to mid-September, when the season is about to end.
• Low Crowd: October to June, as the pass is inaccessible and closed due to heavy snowfall.
