The nearest major airport is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati (GAU), about 170 km away (4-5 hours by taxi). Shillong Airport (SHL) is closer at 80 km, but has limited flight connectivity.
Train
Guwahati Railway Station (GHY) is the nearest major railhead, approximately 150 km from Cherrapunji. You can hire a taxi from the station for the 4-5 hour journey.
Road
Cherrapunji is well-connected by road from Shillong (55 km, ~2 hours) and Guwahati (150 km, ~4-5 hours). Taxis are readily available from both cities. Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) buses also run from Shillong.
