Shimla's first microbrewery on The Ridge, offering craft beers, global cuisine, live music, and impressive mountain views.
Located right on Shimla's famous Ridge, The Brew Estate is the city's first and most popular microbrewery. It's a modern, multi-level establishment that brought the craft beer scene to the hill station. The interior has an industrial-chic design with exposed brick walls, wooden furniture, and large glass windows that offer excellent views of the surrounding mountains and the bustling town square below. The atmosphere is generally lively and energetic, especially in the evenings when they often feature live music performances, making it a go-to spot for both locals and tourists looking for a contemporary dining and social experience. The menu is extensive, covering Indian, Italian, Continental, and Asian cuisines, with wood-fired pizzas and large platters being particularly popular. The main draw, however, is their selection of in-house brewed craft beers, ranging from light lagers to strong ales, which you can sample before choosing a pint. With its prime location, vibrant ambiance, and diverse food and drink offerings, it serves as a great place to unwind after a day of sightseeing, offering a different pace from the traditional colonial-era cafes Shimla is known for.
