The Garuda Hotel, Thrissur - A Modern Stay in the Cultural Capital

The Garuda was established in the early 21st century to meet the growing demand for modern accommodation in Thrissur. As the city gained prominence as a commercial and cultural center, there was a clear need for hotels that could cater to business travelers, tourists, and pilgrims with contemporary standards of comfort and service. The hotel was developed to provide a high-quality lodging option close to the city's core, particularly the Swaraj Round and major temples. Its purpose has always been to offer a blend of modern hospitality and easy access to the traditional experiences that define Thrissur, serving as a key part of the city's evolving tourism infrastructure.

The Garuda's significance lies in its role as a key player in Thrissur's modern hospitality sector. It provides essential infrastructure for visitors, especially during major events like the world-renowned Thrissur Pooram festival, when accommodation is in high demand. For business travelers, it offers reliable services and facilities like meeting rooms that support local commerce. By offering a contemporary stay experience, the hotel makes the city's rich cultural heritage, including its ancient temples and artistic traditions, more accessible to a wider range of domestic and international tourists who seek modern comforts.
