Best Time to Visit

The ideal time to visit is from September to March when the weather is pleasant and cool, with average temperatures between 15°C and 25°C. This period is perfect for plantation walks and sightseeing. The monsoon months, from June to August, transform the estate into a lush green paradise, though heavy rains might limit outdoor activities. The summer months of April and May are warmer but still offer a comfortable retreat from the heat of the plains.
Peak Crowd: October-January, long weekends, and public holidays. This is due to the festive season and the most favorable weather, leading to high occupancy.
Moderate Crowd: February-March and August-September. These are shoulder seasons with good weather and relatively fewer guests than the peak period.
Low Crowd: April-June, due to the summer heat, and the peak monsoon month of July, when heavy rainfall can be a deterrent for some travelers.

Air

Mangalore International Airport (IXE) is the nearest airport, about 160 km away (4-5 hours by car). Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR) is about 265 km away (4-5 hours by car).

Train

The nearest major railway station is in Kadur (KDR), located 40 km away. Chikmagalur also has a small railway station (CMGR) with limited connectivity. Taxis are available from Kadur to the resort.

Road

Chikmagalur is well-connected by road. From Bangalore, it is about 245 km via NH75, a drive of 4-5 hours. From Mangalore, it's about 150 km via NH73. KSRTC and private buses operate regular services to Chikmagalur from major Karnataka cities.

Local Transport

Once in Chikmagalur town, you can hire an auto-rickshaw or a local taxi to reach the resort. It's advisable to pre-book a cab for convenience, especially if arriving late.
